What Is the XI Class Admission System?
XI Class Admission is the centralized online system used across Bangladesh to admit students into Class XI (the first year of HSC) after they pass SSC or equivalent. It is managed by the Intermediate & Secondary Education Boards under the Ministry of Education, and every applicant applies through a single official portal — xiclassadmission.gov.bd.
Instead of sitting a separate entrance exam for each college, students submit one application listing up to 10 college choices in order of preference. Seats are allocated purely on SSC GPA and merit. The result is a fair, transparent placement system covering 4,000+ colleges and 21+ lakh students annually.

Basic Eligibility Requirements
- SSC Pass Years: 2024, 2025, or 2026 passouts from any recognized board.
- Open University (BOU): Pass years 2022, 2023, or 2024 — must be under 22 years of age.
- Foreign Board: Requires Equivalence Certificate from the Dhaka Education Board.
- Boards Covered: Dhaka, Rajshahi, Comilla, Jessore, Chittagong, Barisal, Sylhet, Dinajpur, Mymensingh, Madrasah, Technical.
Group Change Rules (SSC to HSC Mapping)
- SSC Science → HSC Science, Humanities, or Business Studies (all three allowed).
- SSC Business Studies → HSC Business Studies or Humanities only (no Science).
- SSC Humanities → HSC Humanities only (no Science, no Business Studies).
Seat Allocation & Quota Breakdown
- 93% Open Merit — seats allocated purely on GPA and marks.
- 5% Freedom Fighter Quota — children of Muktijoddha / Shaheed Muktijoddha. Requires gazette/certificate from Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.
- 2% Education Quota (EQ) — 1% for children of Ministry of Education staff, 1% for affiliated body staff. Requires attestation from department head.
- School & College students get priority in their own institution's HSC section (same group), provided they meet minimum qualifications.

Create Your Account (Sign Up)
Go to xiclassadmission.gov.bd, click "Login" on the homepage, then click the "Sign Up" link on the login page.
Check "I have read and understood", then click "Sign Up". You'll get an EDU ID on screen and a PIN via SMS.

Log in with your EDU ID and PIN. The "My Profile" page shows:

After selecting a college, you'll see its Shifts, Versions (Bangla / English), and Groups (Science / Business / Humanities). Each college option shows the minimum GPA, quota availability, and total seats.
Build Preference List & Submit
Click "Apply" from the sidebar. Select Board → District → Thana → College. The college's EIIN, name, and all college options appear. Tap the "+" button next to any option to add it.
- If eligible for quota (SQ, EQ1, or EQ2), select it when adding the college option.
- Use ↑ ↓ arrows to reorder preferences, ✕ to remove.
- Click "Submit Application" and confirm both on-screen prompts.
Update Your Application (Up to 5 Times)
- Click "Update Application" from the sidebar.
- Change preference order with ↑ ↓ arrows.
- Remove a college option with the ✕ button, or add new ones.
- Click "Update Application" and follow confirmation prompts.

- Application Fee: BDT 220 — non-refundable, paid once to cover up to 10 college preferences. Service charges may apply.
- Confirmation / Registration Fee: BDT 340 — collected by the board at selection confirmation (নিশ্চায়ন). Breakdown: Registration 142, Sports 50, Rover/Ranger 15, Red Crescent 16, Science & Technology 7, BNCC 10, Teacher Welfare & Retirement 100.
- College Session & Admission Fee (MPO): Dhaka Metro up to BDT 5,000; other Metro BDT 3,000; District BDT 2,000; Upazila/Mofussil BDT 1,500.
- Non-MPO / Partial-MPO: Dhaka Metro up to BDT 7,500 (Bangla) / 8,500 (English); other Metro 5,000 / 6,000; District 3,000 / 4,000; Upazila 2,500 / 3,000.

- Open the bKash app → tap "Education Fee" (এডুকেশন ফি).
- Tap "College" → select "XI Class Admission".
- Select Board, Passing Year, enter your SSC Roll Number and mobile number.
- Verify the fee amount (BDT 220 + service charge) → tap "Proceed".
- Confirm with "Education Fee" button → tap and hold until complete.
- You'll see a confirmation screen + receive an SMS. Save the digital receipt in the app.

How Merit Order Is Determined
Following the XI Class Admission Policy 2026-2027, merit is computed based on SSC results, college seat capacity, applicant preferences, and quota eligibility. Each student is placed in exactly one college.
- Primary ranking: SSC GPA — higher GPA gets priority.
- Same GPA tie-break: total marks obtained. Madrasah, Technical, and BOU marks are equalized.
- Science group: if total marks also tied — General Math + Higher Math/Biology, then English, Physics, Chemistry.
- Humanities & Business: English, then Math, then Bangla marks in order.
- Cross-group applicants: total marks first, then English → Math → Bangla.
- School & College priority: own students get first right in their same group, then remaining seats open to outsiders.
Selected Students' Merit List — 17 Sep 2026
- Published at 8:00 PM on Thursday, 17 September 2026 on the portal and via SMS.
- Each student is placed in exactly one college based on GPA, marks, preference order, and quota.
- View your placement on the portal under the "Selection" menu.
- Selected students must confirm by 8:00 PM on 19 September 2026 by paying BDT 340 — otherwise selection and application are both cancelled.
How Seats & Quotas Are Filled
- 93% open merit — filled purely on GPA and marks in preference order.
- 5% Freedom Fighter quota and 2% Education quota filled from eligible applicants; if none qualify, those seats revert to open merit.
- Own institution students (school-and-college) get first right in their same group; only the remaining seats open to outsiders.
- No seat is left vacant — the merit list is used to fill any unclaimed reserved seats.
What If You're Not Selected or Miss Confirmation?
The 2026-2027 policy runs a single application and merit process — there are no multiple phases or migration rounds.
- Each board publishes its own schedule by notification (প্রজ্ঞাপন); watch xiclassadmission.gov.bd and your board for any further notice.
- College, group and subject changes after admission are possible later with board permission and the required fee — except moving into the Science group, which is not allowed.
- A Science-group student who moves to another group cannot return to Science afterwards.

- Voluntary cancellation is permanent — you cannot re-apply in this session at all.

After all merit lists and migrations are complete, the final confirmed student list is published on xiclassadmission.gov.bd and on each college's notice board. You must visit the college in person.
